The Battle of Leeth was the conflict in which the first aether font was destroyed, resulting in the creation of the Wastes. Leeth was the central citadel built around the font — a massive structure of etched conduits and geothermal mechanisms that served as the heart of the Verdant Cradle's civilization.
The battle lasted several days and involved thousands of combatants from rival factions fighting for control of the font. Early hemotech devices and forge arrays were used in a desperate struggle that escalated to total destruction. Elara Velythar died during this battle. Torren Velythar, her husband and titled Bulwark of Leeth, held a defensive role protecting key positions with a steam-blade.
