For seven days, open taverns host guild feasts and markets see last-minute negotiations at debt tables. Scribes hammer release stamps onto ledgers amid the sharp scent of fresh ink and the low hum of idling gears. Crowds thicken as the days progress, with some participants calm in anticipation of liberation and others desperate for final concessions.
On the Eve of the Turn—the seventh night—the reset culminates at midnight. A great stamping engine initiates the process, its mechanism synced to others via pulses through aether veins, ensuring simultaneous execution continent-wide. As the stamps fall, celebratory steam-flare bursts erupt from geothermal vents, releasing patterned aether sparks in geometric displays that light the skies.
In Brassveil Port, the Ironclad Dominion hosts the largest ceremonies, drawing vast assemblies to witness the Dominion Seal’s engine in action. Yet the ritual’s essence remains consistent elsewhere: etched tally-plates are voided, brass seals broken, and new contracts sealed under lantern light.
