The Dominion Seal is the Ironclad Dominion’s flagship. It is moored permanently at the Steamwharf in Brassveil Port during The Turning festival. The vessel serves as the central stage for the Minor Reset ceremony, the largest debt-release observance on the continent.

The ship’s central deck houses the primary stamping engine. This engine is synced directly to the aether-vein network that links every major settlement. On the Eve of the Turn, at midnight, the engine completes its cycle. Gears engage in precise sequence, aether pulses travel the fractal circuits, and the great stamp falls, voiding all recorded debts across Calythera.

Observation galleries line the upper decks for clan representatives, trade officials, and invited guests. Secure vaults below deck hold relic contracts and hemotech records until the moment of stamping. The design ensures that the entire operation remains visible to the assembled crowds while protecting the mechanical core from interference.

The presence of the Dominion Seal converts the surrounding harbor into the focal point of the seven-day festival. Steamwharf workers calibrate auxiliary systems, brass lanterns illuminate the decks, and geometric aether displays mark the final hours before the stamp. No other vessel performs this role; the Dominion Seal is the single point through which the Ironclad Dominion executes the continent-wide debt reset.

Role in the world

The Dominion Seal stands as the physical embodiment of the debt-cycle system. Every seven cycles it enacts the Minor Reset, releasing debts and allowing new contracts. Its mechanical reliability is the foundation of trust in the current economic order. Any disruption to the stamping engine aboard the vessel carries immediate consequences for trade, clan movements, and city-state alliances.
